Fun Facts: Martha Stoumen is a woman owned winery. She started her work in a vineyard in Tuscany and prior to that she studied traditional agricultural systems and Italian during her undergraduate degree. Martha produces responsibly farmed, terroir driven wines. Both the Zinfandel and Carignan vineyards are dry-farmed and are certified organic. The Zinfandel grapes are picked just before the skins begin to shrivel bringing out amazing hibiscus, rhubarb, pomegranate, and baking spices. The Carignan grapes come from 70 year old vines bringing a savory component to the bottle.
