Tasting Notes: Perfumes are vibrant, with a floral bouquet of rose petals, violets and fresh berries, hints of almond, lavender and mint. Elegant and complex on the palate with layers of crunchy red fruits, orange peel, sweet spices with earthy and mineral undertones.
Food Pairing: Beef and red sauce, pork sausage, hard cheeses, turkey dinner, all the herbs, spices and pepper, truffle, mushrooms, polenta, winter squash, olives, grilled onion, white beans.
Fun Facts: Nebbiolo which comes from the Langhe region is like a baby Barolo. Although this Nebbiolo doesn’t follow the strict winemaking guidelines of a Barolo (e.g. aged for 38 months, at least 18 months aged in wood, grape vines must not face north, etc.), one benefit of this Nebbiolo is that it can be enjoyed straight away whereas most Barolo’s are typically meant to be bottled aged before enjoying. Out of the bottle, this Nebbiolo offers a velvety structure, tannins, pleasant fresh berry acidity, complex aromas with flowers, spices, licorice, leather and supple fruit flavors that keep you wanting more. Enjoy!
