Tasting Notes: Energetic aromas abound with Rainier cherry and overripe loganberry, flanked by hints of tomato leaf, green tobacco, white pepper and sweet Thai basil. Smooth and enveloping flavors of bramble fruits, a dark stone fruit core and vanilla creme emerge. Effortlessly, the wine transitions into a soft finish of blackberry, lavender and just a shadow of tannin.

Food Pairing: Grilled salmon tacos, smoked prime rib, pork stuffed cabbage, sweet potato latkes with chipotle sauce, white bean-tomato kale stew.

Fun Facts: The backbone of the Disciples Red Wine comes from the Morisoli Vineyard in Rutherford and the Tofanelli Vineyard in Calistoga. The Morisoli's have been farming their plot of land for 5 generations, dating back to the 1890s. The Tofanelli's have been farming their ranch since 1929 and grow some of Napa's most coveted traditional field blend varietals.
