Fun Facts: Granbazán is located in a sub-region of Rías Baixas known as “Val do Salnés.” Spaniards consider this location to be the birthplace of Albariño. The region skirts the coast and produces wines with intense minerality and salinity. Due to the close proximity to the ocean’s moist and salty climate which can cause rot, mold or dormant growth to the grapes, this vineyard trains their vines to grow on a trellis (similar to a wedding arch) for more air flow to keep the grapes dry, sunlit and happy.
