Fun Facts: The wine is aged on the skins (like a red wine) for 2 months in a clay amphora vessel - a method that dates back thousands of years and is believed to originate in the country of Georgia. This wine is the passionate work of Alessia Bertaiola and her husband, Stefano, both 4th generation winemakers. Their family has had the property for more than 50 years and they took it over in 2007. With Alessia's strong background in agricultural research and development and the vineyard already being in great shape (certified organic), she also was able to quickly convert the plots to biodynamic farming. The area was also once an ancient sea that’s been shaped by glacial activity, which left the soils complex in rich marine deposits.
