Tasting Notes:  Orange rind, dried flowers, coriander, ripe pear, fennel seed, bruised apple, a bit of smoke, dried apricot, toasted almond, yeast risen bread, grapefruit, full and lush on the palate coated with peach like acidity and a green herb finish.

Food Pairing:  The wine pairs well with fish dishes that are grilled or seared, oily fish of raw or cooked preparation like tuna, mackerel, sardines and snapper, chicken dishes, potatoes, peppers, hard or soft cheeses, Asian cuisine that matches with high-acidity, veggies, vinaigrettes, onions, spices and rice.

Fun Facts: The Lugana wine region is located in Northern Italy, in-between and uniquely stretching throughout Lombardy and Veneto.  Ottella is nestled on the Southern edge of Lake Garda, producing primarily the Turbiana white grape varietal, or as known as in their region, Trebbiano di Lugana.  The wines are typically very expressive with tropical aromas, stone fruits, juicy citrus, almond, wild herbs and saline notes.  Although this Trebbiano di Lugana white wine is treated a bit differently (like a red wine) and macerated on the skins during fermentation for 30 days in a clay amphorae vessel before being pressed and bottled - creating its orange color and resulting in exquisite aromas and textural sensation.
