Tasting Notes: Citrus notes jump out of the glass, medium-full bodied, white stone fruits, white flowers, kiwi, rich savory notes of cooked pear, honey cream, white pepper, green almond and you can almost smell the salty mineral character that lasts with more citrus juice drying the palate.
Food Pairing: All types of seafood dishes and even with tomato, especially shellfish of crab and lobster, a variety of chicken dishes, most all pork dishes except bbq, bacon, salty or fried foods, creamy pasta dishes, most all summer vegetables, salads, hard and soft cheeses.
Fun Facts: Domaine de Chevalier dates back to 1900, but the current owners didn’t purchase the property until 1983. It’s a certified biodynamic farming vineyard, which is rare to see in Bordeaux and its white wines are even higher prized than their red wines. This wine is phenomenal and it retails for only 1/4 of the price of their Grand Cru white.
