Ripe black fruits and blueberries with impressions of tobacco and mountain herbs. Well-balanced acidity carries the wine through a delicate and juicy finish.
Food Pairing: Shaved beef and blue cheese crostini, wild mushroom flatbread, chocolate covered cherries, braised short ribs, black pepper pasta with slow cooked ratatouille, fresh herbs and sausage pizza, steak au poivre, hearty greens, aged cheeses.
Fun Facts: La Pelle Wines was founded in 2016 by Maayan Koschitzky, Miguel Luna and Pete Richmond. Although the partner’s backgrounds are quite varied: Maayan - a winemaker and farmer from Israel, Miguel - a viticulturist and winemaker from Mexico, and Pete - a vineyard manager and business owner from Northern California, they came together with a mission to create terroir-driven wines that are the ultimate expression of the sites from which the fruit is sourced.
