Tasting Notes:  A blueberry pancake aroma, nutmeg, pepper, cocoa, vanilla, full with lush black fruit and warm spice aromas, dark cherry, cinnamon, currants and coffee. An integrated tannin structure and mid-palate. The wine finishes with a lasting, smooth structure.

Food Pairing:  Spice laden rich foods such as  berbere spiced beef, stews, slow cooked sauces rich in complexity, mole sauces, bbq, eggplant, peking duck, plum sauce, smoked dishes, mushroom.

Fun Facts:  The Hedges Family Estate was built in 1995 and since then has been receiving awards such as Top 100 Wines in the World from Wine Spectator Magazine.  The estate was officially converted to biodynamic farming in 2008, releasing Washington’s very first Demeter-certified Biodynamic Cabernet Sauvignon in 2015.
