Tasting Notes:  A true profile of known and powerful wines from the St. Helena AVA. Deep burgundy color with a nose of bursting black fruits, dark plums, mountain herbs, and warm spices. Full-bodied palate with ripe tannins and minerality. Well-structured with integrated acidity to support the mid-palate layers of dark fruits and mountain spices. A hint of toasted French oak sweetness and graphite expression. Already an impressive wine now with complexity; expected to cellar beautifully for 20+ years.

Food Pairing:  Grilled rack of lamb with black currant sauce, brisket sandwiches, cheesy gratins, spinach spanakopita, blackberry cobbler, butternut squash mole, chateaubriand, beef wellington, wild boar with mushroom sauce.
