Tasting Notes: Aromas of deep dark fruit, prunes, blackberry, wet asphalt after a rain and leather fill the glass. Flavors of punchy berry pie, spiced meats and mulled holiday wine provide a full and rich mouthfeel, complemented by pleasant minerality and a dried fruit finish.

Food Pairing: Braised beef tostadas, stone fruit salads, sausage, barbecue, smoked gouda cheese pierogis, mushroom risotto, crockpot stews, cheeseburgers.

Fun Facts:  This is an exceptional wine for the price.  It comes ungrafted, old vines from prior to 1880.  To capture the essence of the grape, the winemakers choose from the top vineyard lots during harvest.  These old vines truly show their character.
